Crispy Fried Oyster Mushrooms with Garlic Butter and Cheese
Ingredients
- Pearl Oyster Mushrooms
- Unsalted Butter
- Chopped Garlic (or garlic flakes)
- Mixed Herbs and Freshly Picked Basil (for seasoning)
- Grated Cheddar Cheese
- Salt and Pepper (to taste)
Instructions
Heat butter in a frying pan over medium heat.
Add freshly chopped garlic or garlic flakes to the heated butter.
Immediately place the oyster mushrooms in the pan, laying them flat with the gills facing up.
Gently fry the mushrooms until the edges start to become dark, crispy, and brown on the back.
Season the gill side with salt, pepper, and mixed herbs to taste, then flip the mushrooms over and fry until golden brown on the other side.
Flip the mushrooms back to have the gills facing up. Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese over each mushroom.
Lower the heat and cover the pan with a lid to allow the cheese to melt thoroughly.
Once the cheese is melted, turn off the heat.
